Marshalswick Judo Club has recently celebrated its 13th birthday and is growing stronger all the time. We are a non-profit making club with around 90 members, male and female, ages of active players ranging from 5 to 49. We cater for all levels and interests. Over the years we have had students that have represented both the BJA and BJC in national & international events. We as a club have entered tournements and have forged strong ties with clubs in Holland, France and Germany, where we visit as often as we can.
Many of our members started as 5 year olds and we are proud to say that some are still with us today as senior members. Some have their own children following in their footsteps. We are proud to have parents and children from the same family doing judo. There is a great camaraderie within our club. We pride ourselves on the fun, friendly and family atmosphere, where we welcome all new members regardless of experience and ability. The parents and students at our club have created many strong friendships not only within our club but through social networking with other club members.

We are proud that we can keep our membership costs low, lessons are £3.00 for juniors under 18 years and £4.00 for adult members. (Gradings are charged separately), MJC is non-profit making club with all income going towards the costs of hiring the gym at Sandringham School and social events for our club members.
If you are interested, and would like to start judo, all you need is a t-shirt and tracksuit bottoms, we will lend you a jacket and belt, our first lesson is alway free to new beginners. All beginners are coached separately and carefully by our UKCC Level 2 coaches. Alternatively, if you have done judo before, we will give you a nice relaxed restart into judo, at your own level and pace. Visitors from other judo clubs are always welcome, but we insist that you clear the visit with your own head coach.
If you would like to find out more about our club, come along with your children on a Thursday evening between 6pm-8-30pm or Monday evenings from 7.30pm to 8-30pm where we are open to all(spectators are welcome) or telephone Doug or Wendy on 01727-847550 or 07828527735 for further information.

Remember

Champions aren't made in the gyms. Champions are made from something
they have deep inside, a desire, a dream, a vision, a determination to be
the best of the best
